Michael Vick....
What is up with people today? Michael Vick has been accused of having dog fights, amongst other things.
Now I have no problem with charging the guy under suspicion, thats completely normal when there are allegations against him. My problem is the fact that they are branding him guilty already. Why?? Has he gone to trial? Has he been proven guilty?
What the Heck?
This guy is innocent until proven guilty, just like any other suspected criminal. I don't care if he is a star or whatever, the guy still needs to have a fair trial. It seems to me this is turning into a race issue. I was watching Nancy Grace (switching through channels, something caught my eye) and it was pathetic. First off, let me say that Nancy Grace is the biggest piece of Garbage on the TV since Barney. She is a terrible reporter, a terrible talker and doesn't even have a clue about anything when it comes to sports or even the law half the time. Most of the time shes talking about herself and how she was once some really good lawyer. Right. Shes obnoxious, rude, and has no time for any of her guests if they questions her. She's been known to bash cops and other lawyers and what not. She even asked one lawyer is this Vick case was another OJ Simpson. WOW! This women is out of control.
Regardless, she would say he was innocent till proven guilty, and then next, say that he was guilty. And went on too comment on videos of dogfighting has how bad it is. FOR GOODNESS SAKE YOU DUMB BROAD!!!! Of course the videos are disgusting, but for the love of Sweet Jesus, SHUT UP! Stop making Vick out to be some monster when he hasn't even been convicted of anything. I don't care what anyone says, until this man is proven guilty, without a shadow of a doubt then ill change my mind. For now hes innocent, and should be playing football.
Oh, and for the record, i have a FIRM boycott on Nancy Grace and her show. Nancy Grace = The Scum of the Earth.

I think the fact that Michael Vick hasn't exactly been a role model throughout the rest of his career isn't helping his case. This is a guy that has used the alias Ron Mexico when using an "escort service" in the past, has tried smuggling marijuanna through an airport, etc. It also doesn't help that his brother has had his fair share of legal issues, either. I think the reason everyone is on Vick's case is that as the evidence continues to mount, combined with his prior record, and it's become very likely that he was somehow involved in this thing.
I think the bigger issue that nobody is talking about is that the NFL suspended Pac Man Jones despite the fact his case hasn't even gone to trial yet, meanwhile they have stated pucblicly that they are not even considering any sort of disciplinary action.
I gave no problem with that at all. If he's guilty then fine. But leave the dude alone. His past record has nothing to do with what is happening now. The trial has nothing to do with his past.
I wonder what people will say if he is innocent?
And the odds he goes to jail? Slim to none, he will be playing soon enough.
I wouldn't be so sure of that....

If he's convicted he'll never play again. Simple as that. No team would want to appear to be condoning his illegal pass-time.
I wouldnt be so sure about that Jon. Ricky Williams will have the chance to play again. Dominic Rhodes will have the chance. Tank Johnson will have the chance. They have all been in trouble for illegal things. Look at Ray Lewis and his Murder Trial, yes he was innocent, but the fact of the matter was all the bad press it brought to the league. Now hes probably the best Defensive player in the league.
If he is guilty, i suspect minimal sentences, probably no jail time. Probably a high fine and community service in the area of animal rights stuff. He will be back in the NFL, maybe not this year, but next. It would be hard for a team to pass on his talent.
It's not looking too good for your boy Vick. His buddy just turned on him as part of a plea bargain saying that Vick funded his kennel pretty much 100% and was frequently at dog fights.
At this point, if Vick DOESN'T do jail time, the legal system is a complete joke. And since it is a complete joke, Vick probably won't do jail time.
So then i can i rest my case...
Jail time is a big word for a superstar...
Now the NAACP is in on it, and now the government has to deal with them.
It will be interesting.
I think he's toast. My understanding is that when the Fed's bring an indictment they win 95% of the time. Plus, as Brad said his "friends" are rolling over.
I can't see a short term sentence on this. the SPCA will want an example made.
Once Jesse Jackson starts marching with a poodle beside him it's all over.
Yeah, im starting to see it. He is still innocent, but i don't see a light at the end of the tunnel for this poor soul.
