I think it is enevitable...

Beckham to Stay?

This would definetly kill any momentum the MLS thought they had coming. With 1 win seperating Beckham and his first Primera League title since joing Real Madrid, and his subsequent re-call to the England nation squad, there has been many rumors about his potential u-turn.

This move would only benefit himself, there is no reason to go over to the US because he isn't a wash up like the rest of the MLS players. With his renewed England career, and with the potential of another 2 or 3 quality years, i think that American may never seem him. Prayers sometimes get answered!

There are reports of all this being a rumor, but history has shown that when such a bold statement is made, it usually happens, and with his recent surge of form, its quite possible this could happen. Nothing would make me happier then to see MLS soccer explain this one!

I'm not quite sure why you are so "anti-MLS"... Possibly you are afraid of the MLS becoming the new standard for soccer in the world? With high level players coming over the league would be transformer and it could easily become better than European Soccer.

High level players? LOL

Jon, before you speak, think about this. The average age of players coming over here is about 31 from European leagues. Peaks of most players careers are from about 26 - 30. So basically your getting the wash up crowd. How will this make the league a good league? Have you ever watched a MLS game? Clearly you haven't, if you had, you would have seen worse football then the Japenese A league. Ryman League teams in England could walk all over any MLS team, and they are one of the bottom leagues in England.

When will you understand that the MLS will never be a good league, it doesn't have the money, the potential, the players. It doesn't inspire anything out of the top players in Europe. You need to learn a little here Jon, watch an MLS game and then a premier league game, you'll get it.

Not to mention that most of the washups coming over, for the exception of Beckham(who is the only reason for the small surge of MLS popularity) will be retiring in 2 or 3 years. Though because the football quality is so poor, who knows, maybe they could play till their 50. I guess Americans would like to watch that.

If Beckham turns his back on the MLS, the league will take a huge hit in Ratings. The only reason people talk about the MLS now is because of Becks, and the only reason could be gone soon, and then what is there to talk about?

Well Scott, apparently if England want Beckham back he's the best midfielder in England (which you say has the best team in the world) so he must be the best mid-fielder in the world. How is that not quality?
